Position: Lead Automation Engineer


Location: REMOTE



What You Will Do



  • Develop automated tests that are robust, scalable, and resilient in the face of system changes.

  • Oversee and assign tasks to Senior QA Engineers

  • Provide detailed and timely status updates and metrics to QA Manager.

  • Take ownership of and manage testing milestones, estimates, and timelines.

  • Produce documentation/training material for other team members.

  • Must be able to multitask and support a large number of projects that require support for automation.

  • Document challenges and continually work towards making improvements in the automation framework.



Basic Qualifications:



  • 3 + years of professional technical experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or related role

  • 3+ years of writing automation using Robot Framework, or other automation tools..

  • 3 + years of experience developing automation in C# / .NET; Python; JavaScript is also a plus

  • 3+ years of experience in a lead or management capacity - overseeing a small team of employees/overseas contractors

  • 3+ years of experience working with product cross-functional teams using agile/iterative development methods


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Must be excellent at creating clear documentation

  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills with a firm sense of accountability, ownership of the SDLC, and exceptional project management skills

  • An excellent end-to-end understanding of QA processes and techniques in order to drive quality into the product.

  • Working knowledge of REST service patterns and other client/server interaction models * Working knowledge of common Internet technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Working knowledge of test management tools.

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, design patterns, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

  • Working knowledge of monitoring and CI/CD solutions.

  • Working knowledge with automated API End-to-End and Performance Testing.

  • Working knowledge with refactoring, writing mocks/stubs, and unit tests.

  • Knowledge of how to define an automation framework.

  • Strong professional skills, including verbal and written communication skills, team collaboration skills, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Experience introducing new processes, procedures, or technologies is a huge bonus
